Subject: what a show ... !
I've been up and down this archive and
didn't even realize this was for download. However, what an effin brilliant
show. A real gem from start to finish. And ya, it's got its flaws (very minor
and barely worth mentioning), but the whole is the brain-membrane-riveting
sounds of '69 Dead. The reviewer below had it right ... the Black Peter is
great. And yet, don't pass up the Mason's Children ... it'll shrivel your
conceptions of what has come before (well, maybe i still have a preference for
the 69-12-28 version). The Dark Star, while minutely flawed, crackles along the
spine. But ya know, it's here, it's downloadable, and it will not disappoint.
And i'm from Jersey (originally), so you can trust me. Ha, ha ... no, seriously,
download it. It's a cool show.

Subject: DOWNLOAD THIS NOW! HURRY! DO IT!
What if some big-time rock band that had
been around for 40 years had allowed fans to record shows, including soundboard
patches, and then suddenly one day the band has been decimated by death and
dissent but realizes there's money to be made in downloads of soundboards and
PULLS ALL THE SOUNDBOARDS. A scary scenario, eh?
Well, what if, by some
miracle, an A+ soundboard got overlooked because it was kind of hidden in the
shadow of 12-31-69, a classic New Year's Eve show. But what if this show had
killer versions of New Speedway Boogie and Black Peter, and a great second set
from beginning to end, including a nice 20-minute Dark Star > Alligator >
Drums > The Eleven > well, keep on reading the setlist. It just gets
better.
So, what are you waiting for? DL this now, before it's discovered
and yanked like all the other boards! And, yeah, be sure and share it with your
fellow traders!
Peace,
Jac in Tucson
