Subject: Very different transition jam in Scarlet-Fire-

well worth a listen- before this moment comes- the song is sounding kind of ordinary- then all of a sudden it takes a quick turn to the magnificent

Subject: Very sharp indeed...

Very sharp on the ligthing->supplication, really takes you away...interesting jams on the scarlet->fire, brent makes me feel like i'm on water during the fire and jerry's play abides just the same. Very unusaul for the time of the show....right in the middle of a run, this show stands out!!! It kicks ass...... everything is a treat, everybody is on.... more or less

Subject: Short and sentimental

I totally agree it was short and to the point, and a very good thing. From the 1st tape I ever had of this show, Truckin' had been replaced with and audience version, but it's pretty decent, if not a little distracting. Tensions over the Iran hostage situation were boiling over, and thought this could be the last opportunity to see the band. Seems melodramatic now, but hey! They did not dissappoint. I had finally taken my wife to a hot show, and she "got" it. Economic versions of everything, Space included...nothing wasted, nothing ponderous. Beware however, tape speed problems in Around and Around. Sentimental 5 stars.

Subject: Short but hot

Great first set and wonderful scarlet>fire>let it grow (how many times you seen that one?)excellent jam after LIG and hot drums space excellent wharf rat. Lay lightning>supp gets a nod as well.

Subject: Some intense

Feedback into Truckin' ! A good Lazy Lightin', Let It Grow, even though Weir was sick this day and New Year's, as well as Scarlet, Fire, a nice version for the second, (my first), of the return of Brokedown Palace etc ! I always liked this and the 28th better than New Year's !
